BurnCDCC: A Very Small ISO Utility

I was looking around for a boot CD that would allow me to edit TrueCrypt volumes the other week and came across one that included a tiny 81 KB utility called BurnCDCC. It does one thing and one thing only: burns an ISO image to an optical disc. It’s one file, that’s it, and at that size perfect for getting the job done. Did I mention it’s free? Thank you Terabyte Unlimited for creating BurnCDCC; go to their Freeware page and grab a copy.

While trying to de-clutter my office I can across some software that wasn’t in use anymore.  I decided to gather it together and liquidate on eBay.  All was fine except for two discs that had seen some action and were scratched.  I copied the contents to a hard drive to make sure they could be read but didn’t want to go through the hassle of installing them just to be sure. AVG Rescue CD

AVG produces a great anti-virus product and makes a free version available; it’s highly recommended.  Recently they released AVG Rescue CD and it’s just as it sounds: a bootable CD with AVG on it, ready to fix those virus issues on your FAT32 or NTFS formatted hard drives.  System requirements indicate it will only work with Windows 2000 and up but that includes server versions as well; nicely done AVG.
